Luxury Amber Epoxy Chess Set with Bronze Warriors
Amber-orange is the warmest colour in the range and it does something none of the others manage: it makes bronze look like it belongs. The dark squares on this board are poured in glowing amber epoxy resin against pale wood, brass brackets finish each corner, and the 32 figural bronze pieces standing on them — classical Greek warriors, with columns for the rooks — seem to have grown out of the board rather than been placed on it.
It is a compact board at 11.8" / 30 cm and a heavy one at 5 kg / 11 lb, which tells you where the weight is: in the army. Every piece is sculpted rather than turned, and picking one up is the moment the price makes sense. A luxury chess set that occupies very little table and a great deal of attention.
