Armenian Epoxy Chess Set with Mount Ararat
The workshop carves Mount Ararat often, but rarely like this. On this Armenian epoxy chess set the hand-cut peak is set off by hand-poured epoxy inlay — resin filling the carved ground so the mountain seems to rise out of light. Wood does the standing; epoxy does the shining.
It is a complete two-game set at travel scale: chessboard outside, nardi field inside, 11.8" / 30 cm open and a feather-light 2.2 lb / 1 kg. A handmade chess backgammon set that packs the homeland, a second game and a little glow into one small board.
