Luxury Turquoise Epoxy Chess Set with Carved Pieces
Most folding chess sets are a compromise — something you accept in exchange for portability. This one is not. The board is a full 19.6" / 50 cm across, its dark squares poured in glossy turquoise epoxy resin, with a softly scalloped textured frame around them and a built-in carry handle cut into the edge. Folded, it is 9.8 x 19.6" and goes under an arm.
The pieces are what lift it. Rather than the usual plain turned shapes, this set comes with 32 ornately carved pieces in beech and walnut — real detail on every one, the kind you normally only see on sets that never leave the house. So you end up with something slightly contradictory and very useful: a luxury carved chess set with proper pieces and a proper playing size, that still packs away and travels.
