Luxury Gray Epoxy Chess Set with Bronze Pieces
Gray is the restrained choice in a range full of jewel colours, and on this board it is the interesting one. The dark squares are poured in marbled gray epoxy resin — not flat, but swirled, so each square has its own drift of pale and dark like polished slate — set into pale wood and ringed with brass coordinate markers.
Against that cool, quiet field, the 32 ornate bronze figural pieces do all the talking. Sculpted rather than turned, warm-toned and heavy in the hand, they stand out on gray in a way they simply would not on a bolder colour.
