Both faces of this handmade wooden backgammon set carry something worth keeping: the Menorah hand-carved on one side, the Star of David on the other, each surrounded by rich floral scrollwork. Two of the oldest symbols in the world, cut into wood by hand — and either one can be the face that greets the room.
Open it and a full 23.6" / 60 cm nardi field waits inside. Backgammon has been a Friday-night fixture in Jewish homes for generations, from Jerusalem kitchens to New York living rooms. A carved board like this simply gives the tradition something beautiful to sit on.
