A seven-branched Menorah stands in a rope-ringed roundel on one face of this carved backgammon set and a Star of David in the same roundel on the other, both raised from a stippled ground with acanthus scrolls carved to the edges around them and a cut-out carry handle in the top edge. 60 × 60 cm / 23.6″ × 23.6″ open, 30 × 60 cm / 11.8″ × 23.6″ closed, handmade in Armenia.

The two symbols return inside the wooden backgammon board in pale inlay: a Menorah in one half of the dark-stained field, a Star of David in the other, small stars scattered between them, and the points let in as pale lattice-lined arrows with arrowhead tips. Carved scalloped rails run along each end, a long recess in each corner holds the dice, and the handle cut-out passes through both side rails.

Brass hinges and side clasps close the case, and the wooden checkers, dark and pale, and the dice are included.
