Kings put lions on shields; the carver put this one in a star. At the center of this handmade wooden backgammon set, a regal lion holds court inside an eight-pointed octagonal ornament — strength in the middle, symmetry all around, scrollwork closing the frame.
Open it and a full 23.6" / 60 cm nardi field waits inside. A hand-carved backgammon board for the player who brings both to the table: the lion's nerve and the geometry's patience.
