Armenia's coat of arms is carved on the lattice frame of this luxury Armenian chess set, and the 32 pieces are cast in bronze on wooden bases. The board is 60 × 60 cm / 23.6″ × 23.6″, handmade in Armenia from beech, and folds closed on bronze clasps; a carrying bag is included.

This is the wooden chess set for the head of the table. A diamond lattice is cut over the whole frame, the coat of arms sits in a round panel at the front edge, and each coordinate is set on a small brass roundel beside the squares. The pieces are heavy, openwork bronze — the knights' heads turned sideways, the kings crowned — standing on light and dark wooden bases.

Open the board and the inside is a backgammon field with the coat of arms drawn in pale line work in each half. The set ships with the bronze chess pieces only; checkers and dice are not included. Made for a retirement, a jubilee, or the family home that flies the flag.
