Luxury Armenian Coat of Arms Chess Set with Bronze Pieces — Handmade in Armenia
Handmade in Armenia from beech wood, this folding chess set opens to 23.6 × 23.6 in (60 × 60 cm). The coat of arms of Armenia is carved into its lattice frame. It includes 32 cast bronze chess pieces on wooden bases and a carrying bag. A backgammon field is carved inside; checkers and dice are not included.
This is the wooden chess set for the head of the table. A diamond lattice is cut over the whole frame, the coat of arms sits in a round panel at the front edge, and each coordinate is set on a small brass roundel beside the squares. The pieces are heavy, openwork bronze — the knights' heads turned sideways, the kings crowned — standing on light and dark wooden bases.
Open the board and the inside is a backgammon field with the coat of arms drawn in pale line work in each half. The set ships with the bronze chess pieces only; checkers and dice are not included. Made for a retirement, a jubilee, or the family home that flies the flag.

Why You'll Love It
-
Bronze in the hand: every piece has real heft and an openwork casting that catches the light — a set you feel as much as see.
-
The arms in relief: the lattice and the round panel give the frame depth, and the coat of arms is a carving, not a plaque.
-
Full-size board: the squares are large enough for the tall bronze pieces, and the whole thing folds shut and goes in its bag.
Good to Know Before You Buy
Is the carving real? Yes. The lattice and the round panel with the coat of arms are cut into the beech, and the coordinates are small brass roundels set into the frame. The pieces are cast bronze on turned wooden bases. Nothing is printed.
Are backgammon checkers included? No. This set comes with the 32 bronze chess pieces. The inside of the board is carved as a backgammon field, so you can add your own checkers and dice if you want the second game.
What about shipping and returns? Shipping is free worldwide and tracked. Every set is covered by our 30-day returns policy.
How do I look after it? Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. Wipe the wood with a dry, soft cloth, the bronze with a dry cloth only, and store the board closed in its bag.
