You have seen this pattern before — on the border of an Armenian carpet, running and turning at the corners the way it has for centuries. Here it is carved deep into a luxury walnut backgammon set, and the first thing your guests will do is run a finger along it.
Walnut earns its place on a handmade backgammon board like this: darker, heavier, with a grain that settles into the room. As the light moves, the carving throws real shadow, so the board never looks quite the same twice. Inside is a full 23.6" / 60 cm playing field — this is the wooden backgammon set that lives on the coffee table, not in a cupboard.
