Luxury White Epoxy Chess Set with Brass Corners
Almost every chess board in the world is dark against light. This one is light against lighter. The dark squares are poured in pearly white marbled epoxy resin and set into pale wood, so the contrast comes from texture and sheen rather than from colour — the resin catches light where the wood absorbs it. Ornate brass brackets finish the corners and give the whole thing a small amount of ceremony.
At 11.8" / 30 cm it is a compact board, which suits the look: pale, clean and quiet, the sort of travel chess set that goes on a side table or a desk without arguing with anything already there. It comes complete with 32 turned pieces in beech and walnut, so the pieces carry the warmth while the board stays cool. A luxury wooden chess set for a room that does not want another dark object in it.
