Three crowns and a double-headed eagle: the Russian coat of arms is cast in brass at each end of the chessboard and on the apron of this luxury chess and backgammon table, inlaid in each half of the field inside, and set into every checker. 60 × 60 cm / 23.6″ × 23.6″ open, 70 cm / 27.6″ high, handmade in Armenia.

The backgammon side is the show: when the top unfolds across the frame, each half carries the eagle at full size, wings spread and St George on the breast shield, drawn in dark line on pale wood between the inlaid points. Arrowhead tips finish the points, a vine band runs along the rails, and a round recess at each corner holds a dice cup. Closed, the wooden chess and backgammon table is a lattice-carved side table with a lettered chessboard on top and a felt-lined compartment beneath.

Pale and dark wooden checkers each carry a cast brass eagle; the chess pieces are turned wood, sixteen pale and sixteen dark; two dark dice cups and dice sit in the corner recesses. The legs unbolt for shipping.
