Luxury Walnut Backgammon Set - Royal Lion
Laurels are handed out after the victory — and this lion wears them at ease. Reclining above a carved "Royal" banner, framed in laurel branches and ornate scrollwork, he presides over this luxury walnut backgammon set like a king whose wars are behind him.
The master carving earns the pose. Mane, muscle and leaf are cut in deep relief, the walnut finished until light moves through the laurel like wind. A hand-carved wooden backgammon board that reads as sculpture first and furniture second.
We will admit a soft spot: a lion and a laurel are the two emblems this house is named for, and we have never seen them carved better. Open the board to its full 23.6" / 60 cm nardi field and give the resting king something worth watching — this handmade backgammon set was made for exactly that.
