Luxury Red Epoxy Chess Set with Bronze Pieces
Red is the boldest thing you can do to a chess board, and this one commits to it completely. The dark squares are poured in vivid red epoxy resin against pale wood, ringed with brass coordinate markers, and the effect across a room is closer to a lacquer cabinet than a games board. There is no way to be quiet about a red board, so it does not try.
The army matches the ambition: 32 ornate bronze figural pieces, sculpted rather than turned, with animal-head detailing worked into them. They are heavy, they are individual, and on red squares they look like something out of a treasury. At 15.7" / 40 cm the board is a proper playing size, folds to 7.9 x 15.7" on a bronze clasp, and makes a luxury chess set that will be the most looked-at object in whatever room it lands in.
