Luxury Blue Epoxy Chess Set with Brass Corners
Blue against walnut is a harder combination to get right than it sounds, and this board gets it right by keeping everything else quiet. The dark squares are poured in glossy blue epoxy resin set flush into warm walnut; a fine diamond-lattice border is carved around them by hand; and ornate brass brackets finish each corner. Nothing shouts. The colour simply sits there and does the work.
It comes complete with a full set of 32 turned pieces in beech and walnut — the light army and the dark one cut from the same two woods as the board, so the whole thing belongs together rather than looking assembled. At 15.7" / 40 cm it is a proper playing size, big enough to think on and small enough to leave out permanently. A luxury wooden chess set that will look entirely at home on a desk, a side table or a shelf between games.
