The pomegranate is the Armenian symbol you cannot avoid and would not want to — abundance, family, a full house — and worked in bronze it sits against the pale wood like jewellery, with carved lattice running across the surfaces between. A drawer at the front takes the spare pieces, and the legs come off, so this handmade chess and backgammon table packs down into its own crate when it has to move.
