Brass pomegranates mark this luxury chess and backgammon table at three points — a cast disc at each end of the inlaid chessboard and a third on the lattice-carved apron. The top unfolds into a backgammon field on cabriole legs: 60 × 60 cm / 23.6″ × 23.6″ open, 70 cm / 27.6″ high, handmade in Armenia.

This is the wooden chess and backgammon table that stays out in the room. Closed, it is a side table with a chessboard of pale and brown inlaid squares, lettered round the edge and set in carved lattice; swing the top aside and a felt-lined compartment waits beneath. Unfolded, the backgammon field carries pale inlaid points with arrowhead tips, a sun-wheel disc in each half, a vine band along the rails and a recess at each corner for the dice cup.

The chess pieces are turned wood, sixteen pale and sixteen dark; the checkers are wooden discs, each set with a cast brass pomegranate; the dice cup wears a brass band. The legs unbolt and the table packs into its own plywood crate.
