Luxury Blue Epoxy Chess Set with Fleur-de-Lis Border
This is the big one. At 23.6" / 60 cm across, the board gives every piece room to stand properly — the size serious players ask for and most folding sets never offer. The dark squares are poured in glossy blue epoxy resin against pale wood, brass coordinate markers ring the field, and a fleur-de-lis border is carved by hand all the way around the edge.
That carved border is what stops it looking like a modern novelty. Blue resin on its own reads contemporary; a hand-cut fleur-de-lis running round it puts the whole thing back into a much older tradition of decorated boards. Then, despite the size, it folds in half to 11.8 x 23.6" and goes away. A luxury carved chess set that plays like a club board and stores like a travel one.
