This is the wooden chess table with the most even carving in the range — no scene, no corners that shout, just the lattice cut fine and regular over every surface that shows, with the coordinates on small brass roundels beside the two-tone squares. The top waves gently on all four sides, and the legs curve out to small pad feet.

The pieces are turned in light and dark wood, taller than most at this size, and go in the drawers between games — front, left or right, whichever is nearest. The legs bolt on after delivery and the top arrives in a wooden crate.
