Three crowned kings of Armenia sit side by side on this hand-carved Armenian backgammon set, each in his own oval frame, scrollwork running between them like a royal procession. Not one ruler but a line of them — a dynasty carved in deep relief across the lid.
It suits the game, because every backgammon table has its own line of succession: the grandfather who taught the father, the father who taught you, the child watching from the corner and quietly learning the doubles. Three kings of the same table. A handmade wooden backgammon board like this one is how the crown gets passed. Inside is a full 23.6" / 60 cm playing field.
