This is Samson mid-struggle — not the victory pose, but the wrestle itself, arms locked with the lion and the outcome still anyone's guess. The carver chose the hardest moment to carve and set it in dramatic relief at the center of this hand-carved wooden backgammon set, ringed by scrollwork.
Anyone who plays knows that moment. The game that turns twice before it settles, the roll that rescues a lost position, the wrestle before the win. A handmade backgammon board that wears that truth on its lid makes every comeback at the table feel a little bit scripted — in the best way. Inside is a full 23.6" / 60 cm playing field.
