Noah's ark rests on a mountain lettered ARMENIA at the foot of this luxury Armenian backgammon set, and from it a tree rises through Sem, Cham and Iaphet into dozens of round discs, each carrying the name of a nation — the old Table of Nations, carved in relief across a 60 × 60 cm / 23.6″ × 23.6″ walnut board, handmade in Armenia.

This is the wooden backgammon set that reads like a page: two scrolled cartouches beneath the branches carry verses from Acts and Genesis in raised letters, a panel under the ark names the Mountains of Ararat, and a chart of linked discs runs along the top edge under a carved banner. The ground behind everything is stippled, the leaves and branches undercut, the name discs each a separate raised button.

Inside, the walnut is left pale and plain: points drawn in cross-hatched line work with arrowhead tips, the ark on Ararat and the word ARMENIA drawn again in each half, a long trough at each end for the checkers and dice.
