Walnut is not what small travel boards are usually made of — it is expensive, heavy for its size and unforgiving to work, so most compact sets use something cheaper. This one does not. The board is solid walnut with its dark squares poured in glossy green epoxy resin, brass coordinate markers ringing the field, and the deep brown of the wood makes the green look considerably richer than it would on pale timber.
At 11.8" / 30 cm it folds to 5.9 x 11.8" and weighs 3 kg / 6.6 lb, with 32 turned pieces in beech and walnut included. So what you have is a genuine travel chess set built from the wood the workshop normally saves for its best full-size work — which is the kind of small extravagance that gets noticed every single time it comes out of the bag.

You can return any order within 30 days of delivery, for any reason, worldwide. Faulty or damaged items return free; for change-of-mind returns the item must be unused in its original packaging and you cover return shipping. EU and UK customers also have a 14-day statutory withdrawal right.
