A horse rears for the same reason a flag rises: to be seen. Up on its hind legs, mane thrown back, forelegs cutting the air — it is the moment before power chooses a direction, and it is carved across this hand-carved wooden backgammon set with real poise.
Across the Caucasus, the rearing horse has always meant untamed spirit — the animal that carries you but was never fully yours. The pose is also the carver's showcase: legs, muscle and mane all in one sweep of the knife. A handmade backgammon board with lift in it — and a full 23.6" / 60 cm playing field inside.
