Armenian Backgammon Set with Eagle and Lion Coat of Arms
Two guardians hold up Armenia's shield: the eagle, which sees far, and the lion, which stands firm. On this handmade Armenian backgammon set they flank the coat of arms in carved relief — Mount Ararat and Noah's Ark at the heart, the sword, wheat sheaf, feather and broken chain beneath, the whole national story held between wing and claw.
It plays as proudly as it looks. An Armenian backgammon board with the arms on its face turns every game into a small act of belonging — open the bronze clasps, lay out the full 23.6" / 60 cm nardi field, and somewhere between the first roll and the last, someone will rest a finger on the shield and start explaining it.
