Luxury Wheat Ears in Epoxy Backgammon Set in Walnut — Handmade in Armenia
Real ears of wheat, hundreds of them, lie in overlapping rows under clear epoxy on both outer faces of this luxury backgammon set, every husk and whisker held in the resin against a walnut ground. 60 × 60 cm / 23.6″ × 23.6″ open, 30 × 60 cm / 11.8″ × 23.6″ closed, handmade in Armenia.
The grain is framed by a plain walnut moulding and the resin is ground flat, so the lid is smooth to the hand with the wheat visible right through it. Inside, the wooden backgammon board is walnut with the points drawn as slender lattice arrows, a broad disc of concentric rings in each half and a fine scroll border along each edge, all incised into the wood, with carved scalloped rails at the ends and a recess in every corner for the dice.
Two small brass hinges and two clasps close it; wooden checkers and dice are included.

Is the wheat real? Yes — these are actual ears of grain, laid out in rows on the walnut and cast under clear epoxy that is then ground level with the frame. The pour differs from board to board, so the exact spread of the ears will not match the photos leaf for leaf.
What about shipping and returns? Shipping is free worldwide and tracked. Every set is covered by our 30-day returns policy.
How do I look after it? Wipe the resin with a soft dry cloth and keep it out of strong sun, which can yellow clear epoxy over time. Store the board closed with the checkers inside.
