Armenia's only standing Greco-Roman temple rises here in fine hand-carved relief at the center of this Armenian backgammon set — the colonnade, the pediment, the improbable Greek silhouette in an Armenian gorge, framed in scrollwork.
A temple built for a sun god makes good company for a game played into the night. Open the board to its full 23.6" / 60 cm nardi field, set the checkers, and add a few centuries of your own. A handmade wooden backgammon set with classical bones and Armenian blood.
