Russian Backgammon Set - Coat of Arms and Bronze Ornaments
When Russia wants something to last, it puts it in bronze — bells, statues, medals. This handmade Russian backgammon set follows that instinct: the imperial double-headed eagle is hand-carved at the center of the lid, and two bronze filigree ornaments gleam beside it, so the board carries its ceremony before a single checker moves.
Set it on the table and the evening takes on a certain formality — you, your rival, and the old eagle watching both directions at once, the way it always has. Inside is a full 23.6" / 60 cm playing field: a wooden backgammon board built for nardy the way it is played from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok — long, loud, and never really finished.
