Geghard is the monastery that carvers dream about: half built, half hewn straight out of the living rock of the mountain. Its name means "spear" — it once kept the Holy Lance itself — and its chambers were cut from stone by hand, chapel by chapel. So there is a quiet rightness in this Armenian backgammon set, where Geghard is carved again, this time in wood.
One craft honoring another, framed in scrollwork. Open the board to a full 23.6" / 60 cm nardi field and play in good company — a UNESCO treasure above, the oldest game in the region below. A handmade wooden backgammon set for those who treasure sacred places.
