Chess Set with Storage - Royal Circle
A round board, and the whole rim carved. Interlace running the full circumference — strands passing over and under each other with no straight run anywhere to make the carver's life easier, which is exactly why so few boards are made this way. Inside the circle the playing field is worked in beech and walnut, and standing on it are 32 gold-toned bronze pieces cast with real armour detail.
Two drawers slide out of the base and take the entire army. That is what makes it a chess set with storage rather than a board plus a bag: nothing lives anywhere else, nothing goes missing, and the set stays permanently ready on a table. At 14 kg and 23.6" / 60 cm across it is not going anywhere once you have chosen where it lives — which, with a piece shaped like this, is usually the middle of the room.

You can return any order within 30 days of delivery, for any reason, worldwide. Faulty or damaged items return free; for change-of-mind returns the item must be unused in its original packaging and you cover return shipping. EU and UK customers also have a 14-day statutory withdrawal right.
