Luxury Chess and Backgammon Table with Castle Towers
The board is built into the top with a castellated edge — square towers stepping around the frame the way the top of a keep does. It gives this chess table a shape you will not find on other game tables, and it is the reason people walk over to it. Open the board and the same piece becomes a backgammon table, with a drawer at the front for whatever is not in play.
The tabletop is a full 23.6 x 23.6" / 60 x 60 cm square on a solid frame, so it stands as furniture in its own right rather than as a board on legs.
