Backgammon Set Hand Carved - Peacock and Sun
A peacock fans its tail beneath a radiant sun on this hand-carved wooden backgammon set, and the two answer each other — two wheels of radiating lines, one feathered, one blazing. In the old art of this region the peacock stands for renewal and eternal life, the sun for life itself; together they make the most optimistic board we carve.
The plumage is where the hand-work shows: fine detail cut line by line into solid wood. A handmade backgammon board that brings a bit of celebration to the table — with a full 23.6" / 60 cm playing field inside.
