Four carved figures hold the board up on their shoulders. That is not a flourish added at the end — it is the structure, Atlas doing what Atlas does, and it sets the tone for everything above him: deep scrollwork and lattice cut into every side, no plain surface anywhere, 13 kg of beech and walnut. A wooden chess set built this way is furniture before it is equipment.
The army matches the ambition. All 32 pieces are individually hand-carved as characters rather than turned to a standard pattern, so no two are quite alike even within the same side. Three drawers — one central on a brass handle, two at the sides — take the whole set between games, which is what makes this a genuine chess set with drawers rather than a carved board you then have to find a box for.

What is your return policy?
You can return any order within 30 days of delivery, for any reason, worldwide. Faulty or damaged items return free; for change-of-mind returns the item must be unused in its original packaging and you cover return shipping. EU and UK customers also have a 14-day statutory withdrawal right.
