Surb Amenaprkich — the Church of the Holy Saviour — rises across this Armenian backgammon set in careful profile: the pointed dome on its tall drum, the arcading, the whole refined silhouette that makes Armenian church architecture instantly its own.
These churches were built to be recognised from a valley away, and the carver honoured that: one clean, architectural line you could trace with a finger. A handmade wooden backgammon board with quiet devotion in it — and a full 23.6" / 60 cm playing field inside for the loud family evenings after church.
