A wolf on one side, a lion on the other, and an eight-pointed octagon star holding the center like a referee — this hand-carved wooden backgammon set puts the two great temperaments of the wild on one lid, cut in deep relief with a patience neither animal would understand.
Every backgammon table really does seat a wolf and a lion: the player who circles, blocks and picks the moment, and the player who charges the field and dares the dice to argue. Set this handmade backgammon board between two people like that and the carving becomes a portrait of the evening. Inside is a full 23.6" / 60 cm playing field.
